Learning by doing in European Academic Area

The European Summer University (http://www.univ-paris7.fr/UEE/UEE2006.htm)

organized in Paris in the period 3-7 July 2006 was a good opportunity to disseminate the EUI-Net actions.

The school objectives are to promote the new pedagogical concepts emphasizing the training techniques, as problem and project-based learning, based on:

- interaction of the actors in alternative teaching - learning with feedback from professional experience;

- interactivity in distance learning and networking in European partnership;

In this frame, some aspects of EUI-Net activities were presented:

- “European University-Industry Network”, presented by Ivor Perry;

- “The teaching & research relation: The perception of first year students”, presented by An Verburgh from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven;

- “Some Aspects of the Problem-Based Learning applied to Electrical Engineering”, presented by Elena Helerea, from Transilvania University of Brasov.
