During the meeting of the EUI-Net management committee in Brussels, Prof. Doru Talaba, on the behalf of Prof. Sergiu T. Chiriacescu - the project coordinator, presented the EUI-Net Project after the first year: general and specific objectives, project approach, and state of the art after one year, putting into evidence the weak points.

Prof. Doru Talaba then presented the overview of the activities performed during the first year (material has been prepared in cooperation with Prof. Helerea - the project technical coordinator, from Transilvania University of Brasov). Each WP activity was presented, according to the scope, goals and work plan included in the proposal and established during the kick-of meeting (Poiana Brasov, 17-19 February 2005). Critical analysis was performed, in terms of achievements, delays and strong/weak points of the cooperation within the workgroup. Conclusions: with respect to the work plan included in the proposal the project activities stand well; there are a few delays in the activities of SIG2 and SIG4 but during this meeting will be set-up measures for recovering the delays and continue the activity according to the initial plan.

Prof. Marcela Luca, the Tuning research coordinator, presented the content of questionnaires designed for generic and specific competences relevant for the industrial sector. There were presented two kinds of questionnaires: one for generic skills and the other for specific competences. Both are designed for three target groups: academics, employers and young graduates.

Prof. Doru. Talaba presented the workplan for the project 2^nd year, according to the project proposal. There were discussed the tasks to be achieved by each workgroup, in terms of deadlines and responsibilities.
